my name is natalie. my deep adoration for the world from the universe itself to the little different flavored quarks is immense. some of my favorite parts include, but are not limited to: music, words, the human brain, living beings, and open-mindedness. i play violin and some guitar, piano and mandolin. i read books, especially russian novels and historical fiction but i also love magazines like Newsweek, Cricket, and Rolling Stone. NPR is my favorite radio station. i apologize for rambling, but its what i do. be respectful. give the world your best. love the planet. express yourself. waste not. and finally, remind me that no one actually reads this stuff so i need to shut up.

whenever I’m bored/need a violin playing boost I read “the Mozart season”. it makes me want to run out to music and arts, buy some pretty sheet music, and play. im reading it now, making me super competitive with the main character, etc. except I dont have my violin with me. so I’m sad.
President Obama is “a leader who not only acknowledged the LGBT community, but embraced it.” That’s how Sue C’s it. (In other words, Jane Lynch narrated a video for LGBT Americans for Obama, kicking off today—here’s where to sign up.)

How to interpret eight fortes? I think maybe I should hurl my whole body at the piano as violently as possible and hope for the best. They would find my bloody corpse weeks later amid the moldy coffee cups, odiferous testament to my devotion to the composer’s intent. How would eight be different from seven? Both must be so searingly loud as to be painful, a distinction between degrees of agony: if seven fortes is like being disemboweled by a wolf, then eight is like being disemboweled by a bear.

wild china is a documentary and it rocks. I love it. I love animals and everything. I’m still banking on that “be every animal for a day” wish of mine.
Oh, darling, you will be good to me, won’t you? Because we’re going to have a strange life.
